We only had about an hour and a half to photograph. The temperature was warming up fast and the snow was melting. The sun came out and it was getting very bright which makes it hard to photograph snow and ice. We knew that not much would be left by late afternoon when the angle of the sun would be better for photography. The streams were so beautiful with all the lacy ice, we wished for more time. We were grateful for at least getting some snow.
I was able to find smaller, intimate landscapes along the stream that were still in shade, but all too soon the sun came in making it too bright. We were cold anyway.
