Someone that we met in a coffee shop told us about this local park that was right in the town of Flagler Beach. It had a walkway above a swamp to the inland waterway. We saw a sparse number of trees along the boardwalk plus birds strutting through the shallow water. We could see banks of muscles showing above the tide line. The sky had some unusual jet trails. The one in the photo below this text looks like someone took a paintbrush to the sky and made a few rudimentary brush strokes with a huge brush.
The herons were wading through the shallow water hunting for fish around a bank of muscles at the tideline. The colors in the birds and in the water are very complimentary. These 2 birds hung out fishing together. I especially like the darker blue bird with the matching color rings in the water.
